Blue Mountains holiday

Hello family, friends, and strangers alike! Our blog stats have gone through the roof recently, so if you're following along and haven't yet introduced yourself, please leave a comment - we'd love to know who you are, and where you're reading from.

So, where to begin?

We spent the last week of August in the Blue Mountains, which were beautiful. We had a lovely, relaxing break away from the disaster zone that it is our house at the moment!

This is our cottage - Matilda's of Leura - which we would highly recommend if you're ever planning to stay in the area. It was cute, clean, well priced, and in a great location close to the township of Leura.

That's 'Hulk Holden' - named in honour of his bright green colour!

So cosy.

The beautiful Three Sisters of Katoomba.

The Scenic Railway at Scenic World - the steepest incline railway in the world. Yes, it was terrifying and I hated every minute of it!

Main street of Leura.

Historic township of Hartley. And 'Hulk Holden' again!

All in all, we had a lovely holiday (apart from that stupid "scenic" railway!).

Back at the house, there's been lots of progress - both good and bad (nothing ever goes to plan around here!). Promise we'll be back soon with an update.
